TAKE YOUR FAMILY TO A CORN MAZE & PUMPKIN PATCH

Don't have kids? Borrow some or take a date, because this is a lot of fun that can only be had for a short time each year. Plus, this is an affordable activity that allows you a little family team work time (or friendly competition, if you want!)

Corn mazes are giant puzzles that you walk through. Farms take cornfields and cut paths into them. But to add more of a challenge there are loops and dead ends to get you lost. And since the corn is usually taller than you are, it is easy to get lost. Many times corn mazes are even cut to make the field look like some type of picture or design.

MAKE A S'MORES STATION

Want a fun way to spend a fall night? Make a fun and easy s'mores roasting station. Make a big hit with your family, regardless if they're 7 or 70. Besides the regular chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers, consider adding some healthier options like fresh fruit and Nutella.

Don't have a fire pit?  Learn some tricks to set up a station with portable heat from the Hurried Hostess and The Chew. If the weather doesn't cooperate, you can always make your s'mores inside.

OUTDOOR GAME & MOVIE NIGHT 

There are lots of budget friendly ideas for outdoor fun with your family. Make a giant Jenga set, Connect 4 checkers or even Twister. Pinterest has a ton of DIY Game Ideas. You've not lived until you build a Jenga tower taller than you.

Bundle up and bring out the big screen! Pull out the popcorn and sleeping bags and show your kids some of the movies you grew up on.  Can we say Goonies, Harry Potter and the original Willy Wonka? If you're feeling brave, pick a couple of Halloween themed flicks.

Date Night Fun

Autumn is the perfect time to spend quality time with your friends, significant other, or heck even a neighbor, so get out there!  

• Go Berry or Apple Picking
• Take a Hike - and take your camera with you. Discover the Forests in your state.
• Pull out a couple old-school scary movies (I'm sure Jason, Michael and Freddie are available)
• Catch a football game - check out your local team or take a drive to visit your favorite college or pro team.
• Find a fall festival. Many state and local websites provide lists of festivals in your area. Want to think bigger? Here are 20 of the Best Fall Festivals to Celebrate the Season. 
• Go horseback riding
• Pack a fall picnic of hot apple cider and other treats and watch the sunset over the changing foliage (and stay for a little star gazing). 
• Some like it hot - get in the kitchen and cook up some new Fall food favorites. You can even visit a farmer's market to pick up some fresh produce, seasonings and cheese.You're never to old to build a fort
• Tour local micro-breweries or wineries
• The sky's the limit - take a little road trip to a Balloon Festival and take a ride in a hot air balloon
