Your first show at Ruoff Music Center? You’re in for a night you won’t forget. From tailgating in the parking lot to that moment the lights go down, it’s all part of the experience.

Here’s everything you need to know before you go, so you can spend less time stressing and more time singing.

Tickets: Your Phone Is Your Ticket

Ruoff uses mobile entry only. Before you leave home:

  • Download your tickets in the Live Nation app.
  • Make sure your phone is charged (a portable charger is never a bad idea).
  • Have your screen ready to scan when you reach the gate.

The Box Office is open on show days starting at noon and Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. once the season begins, if you need in-person assistance.

Parking: Plan Ahead

Parking lots open one hour before the scheduled gate time. Gates typically open 60–90 minutes before showtime, but always double-check your specific event page to confirm.

How Much Is Parking?

  • General parking starts at $20 per vehicle if purchased online in advance.
  • Day-of-show parking starts at $25 (credit card only).

Want to upgrade your arrival and exit? Consider Premier Parking or VIP Parking for easier access.

Rideshare & Drop-Off

Getting dropped off? Use Rideshare Gate 2A, located just north of the intersection of Boden/146th Street. Pro tip: If you’re picking someone up, arrive about 45 minutes before the show ends to avoid heavy traffic.

Here is a map of Ruoff Music Center, for reference.

Tailgating

Yes, tailgating is allowed! Hang out, grill, and enjoy the pre-show vibes. Once gates open, you’ll be asked to head inside the venue.

Come Rain or Shine

The show goes on, rain or shine. Unless the weather turns extreme, the music plays. If conditions look questionable, check the venue’s social media channels for updates before heading out.

What to Expect at the Gate

Security includes:

  • Metal detectors
  • Possible pat-downs
  • Bag checks

Make sure you review the bag policy and prohibited items ahead of time so entry is quick and smooth.

Contactless Payments Only

Ruoff is a cash-free venue. Bring a debit or credit card for food, drinks, and merch.

Don’t have one? No worries – visit any information booth and they’ll exchange your cash for a prepaid card (for free).

Restrooms: What to Know

Restrooms are located throughout the venue for easy access, including near plaza areas and concession stands. If you’re on the lawn, plan ahead and step out between songs to avoid peak intermission lines.

Water & Hydration

You’re allowed:

  • One factory-sealed or empty clear bottle (up to 1 gallon or smaller) per person
  • Empty reusable bottles

Not allowed:

  • Frozen bottles
  • Flavored water

Free refills are available at the YETI hydration stations in the north and south plazas. Stay hydrated and help reduce waste while you’re at it.

Merch: Don’t Miss Out

Looking for tour tees or limited-edition gear? Visit the Concert Gear booths in the north and south plazas. For select events, additional booths may be open in the east and west plazas. Tip: Popular sizes sell out fast – shop early if there’s something you really want.

Camping: Make It a Full Experience

For select shows, you can camp on-site and stay close to the action. Check the venue’s camping page for eligible events and reservations.

Designated Drivers

If you’re the responsible friend for the night, the Jack Daniel’s Designated Driver Program has you covered. Stop by guest services for a wristband and enjoy a complimentary 16oz fountain soda or water at the North and South Grills.

Recycling

Recycling bins are located throughout the venue. Toss responsibly and help keep Ruoff beautiful all season long.

Final Tips for First-Timers

  • Arrive early to soak in the atmosphere.
  • Wear comfortable shoes (especially for lawn seating).
  • Check the weather before you leave.
  • Charge your phone.
  • Plan your exit strategy ahead of time.

Most importantly? Be present. When the lights dim and the first note hits, you’ll understand why summer at Ruoff Music Center is a tradition for so many.
